Manchester carries the highest Turkish-food search demand of any council outside Westminster, and its supply is thin and unevenly rated: the Rusholme and Wilmslow Road corridor, the Northern Quarter and the Didsbury and Chorlton suburbs hold most of the restaurants, while Salford, Trafford and Stockport have very little. Liverpool's cluster is almost entirely in the L1 city centre around Bold Street, with the suburbs unserved. Across the wider region, Lancashire's mill towns have long-established kebab trades but few sit-down Turkish restaurants, and hygiene scores in Greater Manchester are among the lowest in the data set. The opportunity here is quality in the city centres and coverage in the suburbs, not more takeaways.
