In the East Midlands the story is Leicester and Nottingham, with Derby some way behind. Leicester has one of the higher counts outside London, tied to its wider South Asian food economy and a run of grills along the Narborough Road and Belgrave corridors, and hygiene scores there are noticeably weaker than the national average, which points to a quality gap rather than a supply gap. Nottingham's cluster sits in the city centre and Lenton student area. Outside the cities, market towns from Lincoln to Northampton mostly have one or two kebab takeaways each and search volumes that are small individually but add up across the region.
